Hypertension is a leading driver of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality worldwide and represents a major, escalating public health burden in Nigeria. Despite the widespread availability of effective antihypertensive pharmacotherapy, BP control rates in Nigeria remain alarmingly low, with evidence indicating that the majority of treated patients fail to achieve target levels. Introduction:
Access to controlled medicines, particularly Schedule I narcotics, is essential for effective pain management, opioid dependence treatment and other medical indications. However, their availability remains limited in many low- and middle-income countries, including Nigeria, largely due to stringent regulatory controls aimed at preventing misuse and dependence. These controls are guided by international frameworks such as the United Nations Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs (1961, as amended), and national policies including Nigeria's National Policy for Controlled Medicines and its Implementation Strategies (2017), which seek to balance access with safety.

Introduction:
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most widespread sexually transmitted infections globally, with approximately 70% of sexually active individuals acquiring the virus at some point in their lives. HPV infection is recognised as the most common sexually transmitted infection worldwide, including in Nigeria, and carries a substantial global burden of disease. High-risk HPV types are aetiologically linked to cervical cancer, which remains the fourth most common cancer among women globally, accounting for over 570,000 new cases and more than 300,000 deaths annually.
